Relishing summer in Hobart: the Taste Festival

Source
Good evening, Lovelies! I hope you've had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend. PB HQ was a hive of activity as Mr PB raced to tick off the numerous tasks on our 'to do list' before returning to work tomorrow (boo!). Lots of painting, tree trimming, weeding and picture hanging were all involved. I'll do an update soon on how we're settling into our new home.

Anyway, following on from my last post about the finish of the Sydney-to-Hobart Yacht Race, how about you join me at Hobart's The Taste Festival? Remember my post on it last year? Mmm, your mouths are watering, aren't they?! Okay, let's leave Mr PB and the pixies to play in the adjacent park in front of Parliament House while we go a-hunting for some gourmet Tasmanian fare.
This is the entry which greets us. Our famous local beer, Cascade, is advertised prominently - we locals are very proud of it!
To our left is the waterfront with its outdoor seating - we'll be lucky if we can find seats under the umbrellas there, though. They're that popular.
And over to our right is the Cancer Council, dishing out free sunscreen. Let's slap some on. Hey, wait! Who's that clown on the left? Mr PB, just keep on walking - you have pixies to entertain while we have food foraging ahead!
Okay, let's walk inside the shed. Here's an overview with my camera held high over my head. Lots of stalls filled to the brim with luscious, fresh Tasmanian produce. Mmm!
Let's start with the Mures stall, purveyors of the freshest fish, all caught locally. See their boats up there? Hmm, that fisherman's basket sounds scrummy, don't you think?
Continuing on with the seafood hunt, don't you think these folks are a little *cheeky*?! Mr PB swears by their Pacific oysters (and yes, I'll leave the comments right there, thanks!).
That ploughman's platter from the Bruny Island Cheese Co sounds scrumptious, don't you think?
Now, what about dessert? Some fresh berries are just the ticket, don't you think? Mmm, that summer pudding sounds enticing...
And how about a Spring Vale pinot noir?
Or a crisp Ninth Island sauvignon blanc? Now you're talking!

Okay, I've settled on crumbed scallops and chips and a fisherman's basket for Mr PB. Right, you've bought yours - let's head outside to the park!
Hmm, Mr PB and the pixies are nowhere to be found. Let's pull up these beanbags and eat our lunch under this shady tree.
Ooh, I can't wait to polish off these plump scallops!
Scrummo. So glad you enjoyed yours as well. Let's wander over to find Mr PB and the pixies. Just head past the pretty flower bed and the children playing cricket, lacrosse, hopscotch and basketball.
Oh look! Here's Sam with the blue hat, trying to catch a fish in the pool. Thank goodness for strong magnets ☺.
Here he is with his trusty pirate friends.
And here's Joshie, showing us where to go, I think...
Whilst Miss India has morphed into a beautiful butterfly.
I don't know about you but I think I'll settle down in a beanbag next to Joshie here - care to join me? Time for a little siesta, perhaps...

So tell me, did you have fun? And will you return next year with the family in tow? I promise you another personally escorted tour, Brownies' Honour!
